About Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation

Our Mission
The mission of the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation is to improve the quality of life in Idaho through outdoor recreation and resource stewardship.

Our Vision
We are innovators in outdoor recreation, committed to excellent service and resource stewardship. We foster experiences that renew the human spirit and promote community vitality.

What We Do
IDPR manages 30 state parks throughout every region of Idaho and the registration programs for boats, snowmobiles and other off-highway vehicles (OHV). Money from these registration programs goes back to users to develop and maintain trails, facilities and programs. IDPR also provides free education courses for boaters and OHV operators.

Reviews

Office Assistant

May 2019 - August 2019 Eagle, ID
“Learning about how a state park is run was an interesting experience! I enjoyed getting to work with the public as well.”

Seasonal Maintenance Ranger

April 2019 - September 2019 Island Park, ID
“I personally loved how you were never really doing the same thing 24/7. It was always a new experience when I woke up to go to work in the morning. This may be a bad thing at times cause we had to look for things to do, but really this allowed us to take time to improve the park.”
