What I liked

The schedule is wonderful and the work environment is wonderful. Idahoan is a great company that takes pride in what they do and you feel pride in what you do.

What I wish was different

There is nothing I would change, it was a wonderful experience.

Advice

While the work may be monotonous, you make really good friends which makes the work environment very enjoyable.

Ecommerce Intern

What I liked

It is a great company that is really winning in its category. As soon as day 1, I was able to make meaningful impacts to the business. As an intern in the e-commerce department, I was able to make real assortment and strategy decisions that drove conversions and sales. The culture is very traditional and friendly, but they are always looking to innovate and grow. My manager lead me and taught me throughout the whole internship and ended up hiring me to stay on beyond the planned finish date.

What I wish was different

It was remote. Unfortunately, the internship was remote due to the coronavirus pandemic. I would have loved to get the corporate experience at the home office, and it was hard to get started working from home. It still has been a great experience but I wish it could have been in person.

Advice

When you first start an internship, it feels like you are trying to get a drink of water from a fire hose. There is so much information being thrown in your face and it is really easy to get overwhelmed. My advice is to be patient with yourself. Try to get as much information and take it one day at a time at first. As you get settled in, you will start to get a deeper and deeper understanding of the company and how your role fits within it. Be patient with yourself and try to soak up as much as you can.
