IHOP

Restaurant Server

February - September 2019 • Buford, GA

What I liked

Being able to interact and learn how to socialize and process peoples needs is really helpful in building my character in the work force.

What I wish was different

I wish that I could've taken different types of shifts.

Advice

Don't take a bad customer or a bad day to heart. There is so much more to life than a bad tip or a hard day.

What I liked

I liked the opportunity curve available at my place of work.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have worked more hours. Or had an easier time with the labor challenges surrounding our restaurant

Advice

Take the opportunity as a learning curve. Show the employer that you are there to learn. The employer will slowly give you more responsibility, as long as you show you are hard-working, show initiative, and have a desire to learn.
