II-VI puts effort into its co-op program. Feedback from multiple people about projects done was constantly given. Regular meetings and advice about the progress of the internship was the norm. This is a company that has people who will help you beyond your time there and a friendly staff.
What I wish was different
Circumstances sometimes snagged progression of the co-op program. Mentors during the first two weeks were pre-occupied with training. More time set aside for classes such as teaching an application for statistics in II-VI's manufacturing process would be nice.
Advice
Make sure to keep documentation of anything created in mind. Documentation can take as long as the work done for an actual project and is very important for communicating your work to others after you leave.
