Indesign

Firmware Engineering Intern

June - August 2021 • Lawrence, IN

What I liked

Indesign worked really hard to make me and the other interns feel like a real part of the company, and I loved the atmosphere of Indesign. Everyone was very welcoming, and I found my place in the company quickly. The work itself was intellectually demanding, but I appreciated it because I was working on real projects for real clients. The work hours were fairly flexible, and I was able to work from home if I needed to. Indesign put on a few extracurricular activities throughout the summer for all their employees, and it was nice to meet everyone in the company at those events.

What I wish was different

There wasn't much I would change about my summer with Indesign! If anything, I wish that more people were working in the office at the beginning of summer. There was nothing the company could have done about this though, because the CDC COVID guidelines were still fairly restrictive.

Advice

Get to know as many people as possible from the various disciplines in the company! There are a ton of incredible individuals at Indesign who are all willing to help a newbie out.
