I enjoyed the small size and agility of the team, as well as the mentorship I received from the Product and Research Leads, the CIO, and the Trading/Portfolio Management Team. It deepened by interest in asset management and financial services, and helped me develop better research, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
What I wish was different
I wish that there had been a greater cohort of young Analysts/Summer Analysts within the firm, though as a more mature company of highly experienced professionals, the structure of the firm makes sense.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions and take the initiative on any new projects or tasks. Seek out ways to help the firm and learn from the team.
