Engineer Inten

June 2022 • Aliso Viejo, CA

What I liked

- Friendly culture and environment - Helpful and friendly mentor and manager - Opportunity to learn interesting and new stuff

What I wish was different

- Better training progress at the beginning in the technical part - It is hard to find needed documents in a short time at the beginning

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask questions! And enjoy trying to do different tasks during work

Application Engineering Intern

May 2022 • Aliso Viejo, CA

What I liked

The engineers at indie are all very welcoming and willing to help me with all the questions I have as a new intern. I've been learning a ton of technical knowledge from the projects that I have worked on at indie. It's fulfilling to know that the work you did is something meaningful for the company. The hours are also very flexible since indie is willing to work with your school schedule.

What I wish was different

I wish a have a more structured mentorship program for new interns so that it is easier for them to learn and integrate into the company.

Advice

You should ask as many questions as you could during the internship because the internship is a great opportunity for you to learn and develop practical engineering skills in the field you want to work in.
