What I liked

I loved working with the Intervale staff, getting to work firsthand at reducing food waste while addressing food security, sharing recipes and tips about cooking and fostering a community centered around food, exposing people to new forms of produce and recipes, and creating a newsletter every week.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been able to get out in the field more to actually visit farms and help glean, but my class and work schedule usually conflicted with those times.

Advice

I loved this internship and felt like I gained a lot as far as experience working in localized food systems.
