Jess has created such a welcoming and fun environment for her interns where we are encouraged to share ideas and collaborate with others. We have the opportunity to work on a wide array of projects that we are interested in which provides a well-rounded introduction to working in the fashion industry. Additionally, Jess is incredibly organized which is so helpful for the interns.

What I wish was different

Nothing!

Advice

I suggest that interns go into this position ready to collaborate and not be afraid to volunteer / ask to work on specific projects that interest them in order to get the best overall experience!

The interview process was not intimidating at all, and my interviewers were very friendly, informative and able to answer any questions I had. The onboarding process was very seamless as well, and I felt fully prepared afterwards.

What I liked

JBIER is filled with a dedicated and passionate group of young individuals. Working in a virtually collaborative environment, the team strives in generating new and creative ways of advancing e-commerce as we know it. The personable relationships I have made with my teammates along the way have encouraged me to do my best and to feel confident bouncing ideas off each other!

What I wish was different

Advice

Dip your toes in all different aspects of the company! The founder of JBIER, Jessica Bierman, accommodates her interns to work on projects that they are most passionate about all while giving opportunities to challenge us intellectually as well. I advise you to step out of your comfort zone and learn a new skill. You may end up liking it!

What I liked

Being a startup, JBIER has given me the chance to take the initiative to put myself out there and learn. I am not only able to take on different tasks that interest me but I am always given the chance to try and learn new skills. I came into this internship to learn, and within just a few weeks I was able to build and gain new skills that would push me closer to my career goals.

if there's something of interest and you want to learn it, don't be afraid to speak up and reach out to others about it. They are more than happy to teach you!! You're here to learn to make the most out of it.

What I liked

Jess is a very hands-on boss, which is amazing to be able to fully learn about the industry, and is someone who is an amazing mentor. The environment of this job is very collaborative, letting you soak up a lot of different experiences of the fashion and social media industry. This internship is a great way to get your foot in the door, preparing and setting yourself up for a job after this experience!!

What I liked

Being an intern at Jbier is an overall amazing experience. Jess is an amazing boss and she has created an environment that makes everyone feel supported. I have gained so much knowledge and learned a ton of new skills that will stick with me forever. The team is very collaborative and helpful which has made my time at Jbier even better.

What I liked

Being an intern at JBIER I have loved working with an extremely collaborative and creative team. Working with a startup fashion company, the skills that I have learned I feel will be deeply valuable when I enter the fashion industry post grad. I have also really enjoyed expanding my leadership skills, while working directly with Founder of JBIER, Jessica Bierman.

What I liked

I love the ability to work for a fashion startup and see my work come to life. Jess is very supportive with interns trying new things with in the company and working on things that really spark their interests. I love our team meetings and getting the chance to constantly collaborate with other interns.

I love how hands on this job is, and how much I learn every day. Instead of not approaching tasks I've never done before, I am taught how to do them and then become proficient in it!

I only wish the job was in-person so that I could do more and learn first-hand!
