I liked the environment. It was so much fun getting to prepare the stadium for games and interacting with so many fans. I would definitely recommend and internship with the Growlers to any of my colleagues.
What I wish was different
More diverse roles. Although it was a great opportunity to be in sales, I think it would have been ever more beneficial to be apart of maybe 2-3 other departments.
Advice
Don’t just stick to sales. Say yes to every opportunity that comes up, and soak it all in. It’s the best way to have a positive learning experience.

Video and Media Production Intern

What I liked
Everything. The work environment was fun, challenging, fast paced, and rewarding. The culture in Kalamazoo is amazing, and it’s a thing of beauty when everybody buys in. All of the full time staff are approachable and great to work with- the owner of the team even requested to play basketball with us on more than one occasion.
What I wish was different
I wish it had been a paid internship. That’s the only thing.
Advice
Be ready to work. The hours are long and you will work hard, but it will be some of the most fun you’ll have at a job in your life.

Entertainment Intern

What I liked
Loved the culture Brian and his team has built. Incited a desire to make fun happen for fans and removed all fear of failure from me and several other interns.
What I wish was different
Truthfully, nothing that would be fair to expect. Everything was pretty awesome.
Advice
If you have an opportunity to join this team, do it.
