Amazing access to senior staff and political officials. Had a chance to do way more than administrative work. Contribute meaningfully to legislation put out by the office.

What I liked
I liked feeling like I could help people who were struggling with federal government claims.
What I wish was different
I wish that there were more intern support and more learning opportunities. There wasn't an intern training of any kind and I felt that if there was a training that I would be better able to help constituents.
Advice
Ask questions and don't be afraid to stick up for yourself. Constituents will often call and try to harass whoever is on the phone. Be ready to not let people walk all over you!
