Juvenile Probation Officer

November 2019 • Bakersfield, CA

What I liked

The staff was very useful and respectful. There are several thing i learned from my interview are that you need to be prepared, dress nicely, always try to look at their eyes, don't get too nervous, and don't worry it is not meant for you to fail. The question that they ask in the interview are more about common sense than anything else.

What I wish was different

Well, in my case i wish i had prepared by doing a little more research into probations and their role to play. I do know the general stuff that they all have to know, but the more the better. I also wished to be less nervous, the experience was not that bad now that i go back to it.

Advice

Be confident, know your stuff, and be respectful and kind.
