What I liked
The training days before the program started was a great way to get to know my fellow teachers and familiarize myself with the school's culture. I could not be more impressed by the warm welcoming.
I also liked the summer program's rotating schedule. I have taught at a several programs in the past, but I believe this is one of the best systems. Three groups of students were rotated through an academic, fitness, and arts class. Given the length of the program, this was the ideal time to work with each group of students.
Another large contributor to my positive experience at Keystone was the head teacher I was paired up with. Her experience in teaching was evident. She had a well-organized syllabus, but also had a flexible style to best fit the needs of our students. By teaching alongside her and being encouraged to invent new teaching methods, I came to understand educational concepts, the value of patience as an attitude, the joy of teaching and how much fun drama class can be.
