What I liked

Good internship program, had events for students to tour facilities and learn more about what the company stands for

What I wish was different

More interaction between interns during the actual work day. I was pretty isolated from most of my peers

Advice

Ask questions! This goes for any internship, but especially for Harris since a lot of it is stuff you haven't learned about in school yet.

Electrical Engineer Co-op

December 2017 • Salt Lake City, UT

What I liked

At the time that I obtained my position at L3 Technologies I didn't have very much experience in my field of study, and L3 Communication Systems West gave me much more experience. A lot of the things that I learned throughout school were solidified much more because of the great support that I've obtained from my team members.

What I wish was different

At this time, I don't have anything that I wish would have been different. I've gained a lot of experience and really enjoyed all of the great things that I've learned.

Advice

My greatest piece of advice is for fellow students to attend the career services events, because that is one of the main ways that I found out about L3 Technologies. Networking while in school is extremely important and I feel that you can get farther ahead than others by maintaining a strong network of contacts.
