Lake Almanor Christian School is a ministry of Lake Almanor Community Church. Our mission is to provide an excellent, non-denominational, Christian education that is uncompromising in truth by nurturing students and instilling a desire in them to impact their world for Christ.
LACS began when four home-schooling families at Lake Almanor Community Church wanted to pool their resources to offer a quality Christian education for their families and the community. Starting with no money and a huge dose of faith in God, a grassroots effort began in May of 2004. With support from our church community we were able to open four months later as "Dyer Mountain Christian School". We changed our name to Lake Almanor Christian school after being adopted as an official ministry of the church.
