What I liked

I loved how I was able to impact lives in my own way, and being surrounded by great people was a personal favorite. The camp itself is so nice and welcoming, that it shortly became another "home" to me. I loved who I was working with. This summer was one of the best summer's yet, truly was amazing and such a blessing.

What I wish was different

Honestly nothing.

Advice

My advice to someone about this experience would be to take it all in, and to just enjoy your time there. It will go by fast, and you'll make the best friendships that will last a lifetime! Make sure you get your sleep when you're able to, or just rest when you can, you will love love love working at Lake Ann!

Ability to interact with campers during their difficult times when sick or injured during their one week of summer camp. Interactions with other staff who love the Lord and desire to serve him with their lives.

What I liked

Everything about it! Especially interacting with the campers throughout the week and seeing them enjoy games that we had prepared ahead of time.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have spent more time on the little details of planning.

Advice

That it's okay to fail because ultimately that can be a stepping stone to get you somewhere else you never new about. I'd also share to lean into the experience and make the most out of every situation.

What I liked

The amount I was taught about God, faith, leadership, child development, and working as a team. The lasting friendships I made with other counselors and the incredible bond I made with lots of kids and youth!

What I liked

-I loved getting to know and spend time with the other staff at camp. I have never been a part of such a strong and close community focused on the Gospel that green so close so quickly. It is just amazing to be a part of a team focused on serving others.

What I wish was different

There's really not much I wish would have been different, I had an amazing summer!

Advice

Don't be scared of it. You usually know more than you think you do, and you just have to go for it sometimes. Also, take time to encourage others staff members, as they need it and appreciate it!

Lake Ann Camp is a place like no other that God uses to change lives.

I wish there had been an easier way for staff to transfer belongings from cabin to cabin.

Camp is for the camper, not necessarily for the ease, convenience, or enjoyment of the staff.
