Great company environment. Boss was very understanding whenever I was running late & let me leave early on slower days. They run a mentorship program so you get paired up with someone usually from your department that helps ease you into the company and your work.
What I wish was different
I wish the job was a little more fitting of my major/career path.
Advice
If you have never used Adobe Captivate / InDesign, the learning curve for this position is a little higher as those are used quite a bit. It's far from the Port Authority, so expect to walk ~25 minutes or take the subway. Go in with an open mind and don't be afraid to ask for more work when you get bored. The HRIS department is just one person + one intern so there is always work to be done.

What I liked
I was given meaningful projects that helped the overall function of the department as a whole.
What I wish was different
I am a finance major, so I would have liked to have been immersed in more of the budgets and financial analytics data.
Advice
Being an intern, it is important to always be aware and constantly asking questions. In order to get the most out of my internship experience I took i upon myself to make sure that I was asking questions that I wanted to know the answers to, and having a veracity to acquire new knowledge.
