I loved getting to work with lawyers on cases and learning about poverty law. Living in Eastern Kentucky was also a great experience to understand the culture of Appalachia.
What I wish was different
Sometimes I felt somewhat underutilized. I wish that they would have had more concrete projects for me to work on.
Advice
In any internship always ask how you can help and take initiative! That’s how I got to do the two coolest projects of the summer.
