What I liked

Lifecore was a great company to intern for! Their intern program was very well set up; they did a great job of connecting us with the other intern as well as their supervisors. They gave us a facility tour and explained the in-depth workings of the company. My supervisor had various projects for me to work on and I enjoyed that diversity. I walked away with a comprehensive outlook on what and how Lifecore operated as a company as well as excellent knowledge of the biomedical industry.

What I wish was different

As with any summer internship, the timeline is always an issue. There was a project that I completed right at the end of my employment that could have benefited from more time.

Advice

If I were to give advice to someone seeking this role I would say don't be afraid to express input on your work. My supervisor was very flexible on the projects I was working on; if you have an interest in a specific process, make that interest known, and they will likely be able to give you a relevant project that features this interest.
