“I really enjoyed having the experience to work with blind and disabled children because of what I learned from them and all of the similar experience I had gone through when I was growing up since I am also blind. One of the major responsibilities as a counselor was to give the appearance of roll model that the kids could eventually learn from so that in their future they can get into a stable lifestyle living in any condition that they may be in. since the summer camp is a yearly event, it is very possible to accomplish goals such as these. many of these kids have actually gone for years in a row since they were about eight years old up until 16 or 18 years old.”
