Linde, plc

SOX Compliance Intern

May - August 2021 • Tonawanda, NY

What I liked

My internship manager ensured that the work I completed during the summer provided maximum exposure to all areas of SOX testing. The experience that I obtained was unique.

What I wish was different

I wish that the internship experience included a greater diversity of accounting related work, given the scale of Linde's Tonawanda campus. The internship experience would have been more valuable if Linde allowed internship cross-training in other accounting departments as well.

Advice

This internship helps students gain valuable experience outside public accounting.

What I liked

Amazing mentors and team support. My project plan was diverse and I could easily identify how it related to the work that more senior engineers were completing.

Advice

There's no need to be nervous about asking questions here. I worked with multiple teams outside of my own and found everyone to be excited to teach if I was excited to learn.

Contract Manager (Intern)

June - August 2019 • Pullach, Bavaria

What I liked

I enjoyed experiencing the office environment at a global leader in Chemical Engineering. Furthermore, I cherished the opportunity to work on the project Amur, which revolves around the construction of the second largest gas processing plant in the world. This multi-billion dollar project made me realize how we as humans are able to map and construct fascinating facilities over a long time period and how everyone on that team played a role within the whole.

Asset Management Intern

May 2017 • Buffalo, NY

What I liked

There was a great atmosphere presented here. I was given projects that held some weight in the company, and I was given free reign on how to approach and solve problems.

What I wish was different

Some of the projects were a little tedious, but that is to be expected. The only thing I wish different is a stronger focus on intern to intern relationships so that we had friends starting off. I had to do a lot of organizing of events and group chats so that we could all get to know one another.

Advice

Get an internship here because they pay really well and the experience is really great.
