What I liked

Over the summer, while I was full-time, I worked in the Prototype Building. I got to see the cranes being assembled from the ground up. It was very beneficial to see what worked and what did not work. I got to see first-hand what Design Engineers went through when designing new components.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have gotten to spend a little bit of time working with the engineers in the office to see the "other side" of the design process.

Advice

Pay attention to everything, regardless of how seemingly insignificant the work may feel. In the bigger scheme of things, every aspect is important when designing new components. Keep in mind that somebody has to be able to assemble the final product.
