What I liked

I loved getting to work in a new field, full of professional individuals focused on the field. The work was interesting, while the day was based on my own time-management. Getting to explore my own interests in the company was exciting and opened many doors.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have had more "process" vs "free time". Being the first intern in the marketing department, there wasn't much structure or accountability. I wish I would have had a more concrete system in order to participate and learn more effectively.

Advice

Find an internship that you have a "for sure" concept and outline of the actions you will be completing. Discuss action steps with advisors prior in order to be comfortable once you are on you way. Once settled, if something is unintriguing or difficult to complete, reach out to your superior because they are there to help you, not judge you.
