“The internship with the Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic is a great opportunity that can help advance several career goals. Working with immigrants is marketable for working in politics or in any non-profit, and it is also a good first step to be involved in activism for a career. And of course, this internship is great for aspiring lawyers who want to break ground in the legal field. In addition, this is a great internship if you are looking to study and/sharpen your Spanish. There are many opportunities to help the clients of the LIJC whether it is in the office, Dolores Mission, Homeboy Industries, or even in the naturalization workshops. Many clients need legal advice/assistance, and interning here grants you the opportunity to increase the number of LIJC's clients. The attorneys are great people. They all share an honorable desire to assist the less-fortunate migrants and have nothing but good intentions.”
