I worked/ still work now in the NICU. It is a place that truly has changed me and showed me how to be compassionate, but also how to read people and make a judge of character (I’m situations with parents and their capabilities of caring for a child)
What I wish was different
I wish I would have negotiated a bit more for a schedule I wanted or an increase in pay
Advice
Starting early in a hospital job can really help you find your niche and what it is you love about nursing. Marians clinicals didn’t provide me with enough experience on their own.
