At my internship, I was responsible for writing stories to be shared with potential donors and published in local newspapers. I liked that my work was valued and was being seen by the public.

I would tell others that even if you think you don't have a shot at landing a job/internship with a certain company, apply anyways! I really didn't think I would get an internship as a freshman but I did.
