What I liked
I realized I might want to change my major, because I had to do distanced learning with the children I nanny for. I enjoyed teaching them and seeing them improve in their skills. Something as simple as them learning how to hold the pencil properly. In addition to this I am very fond of my boss who has become a mentor to me. She has helped and guided me with future career options and in expanding my resume.
What I wish was different
From the start I wish I would have established more rules and a schedule so they could be used to it. This would also have helped me better complete my work, because I would have time for my work as well as helping them with theirs.
Advice
Being a nanny could be one of the best jobs if one schedules their time perfectly, especially because of Covid. Getting the children ready and making sure they complete their work is sometimes the perfect time to complete ones work as well. Time management is very important to be able to complete all of ones work while also helping the children with theirs.
