I was responsible for transitioning live state funds for payment while reviewing each voucher for any irregularity; occasionally resulting in direct savings for the tax payers of the state. That was a fulfilling and self-rewarding aspect of the job.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time to better prepare for the intensity of the work performed and connected with more people there.
