The employees were kind and willing to give me different projects depending on what you wanted to work on. The office was very small and so I got to know everyone that I worked with. The work that we did was really important.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been able to come in more than once a week. Because I worked so infrequently I wasn't able to take on any cases on my own, which would have been a really good experience.
Advice
Advocate for yourself and the kind of work you want to do. Also, the more you come in and stay, the more familiar you'll get with this area of law and the victim's rights process, which is very valuable.
