The Shop and The Library

What I liked
I enjoyed our open work environment and format in the Olin Library, working closely with our small team. Our small team of students worked closely together and with the two Olin staff members on the team. The team was motivated and passionate about our project, which had an impact on the greater community. Seeing the effects of my summer work in my next job at The Shop was extremely good to see.
What I wish was different
I wouldn't particularly change anything. A little bit more direction at the beginning of our project may have changed our approach, but the open ideation worked well in the experience.
Advice
Working with Olin over the summer has always been a good experience for me, and I would recommend joining a research team if you have the opportunity.

Very hands on, mentor ship easily accessible, got to meet with actual users of our designs.

It was such a small team in such a small campus that sometimes you could feel a bit stir crazy.
Advice
Spend your weekends in Boston and make sure to check out all the other teams’ research projects too.
