Delevery Driver

May - August 2019 • Punxsutawney, PA

What I liked

I enjoyed the staff and loved how good they were working with my schedule, and other stuff I had to do while scheduling me a good amount of hours.

What I wish was different

I wish that the delivery drivers didn't have to do all the dishes because when it gets busy, they get backed up and can be a pain get finished later on in the night. So I think they should consider getting a dishwasher strictly.

Advice

You need to be a quick worker but at the same time to actually rush yourself because you don't want to drop and ruin a pizza or drink, or even drive to fast and get a speeding ticket. You just need to be efficient.

Pizza Delivery Driver

July 2019 • Springfield, MO

What I liked

The pay and the people were great. I also liked the driving part of the delivery process a lot, it was nice to get more familiar with the city and I like driving and listening to music.

What I wish was different

Sometimes the background noise of the machinery in the restaurant could give me a headache and depending on who was managing, sometimes things could get a little overwhelming and rushed.

Advice

Don't be afraid to call back to the store or to call the customer if you are having trouble with making a delivery, sometimes it can save you a lot of time, stress, and effort.

Server

June - August 2019 • Winchester, IN

What I liked

I liked taking on a new task. I had never been a server before or worked in the food industry. It was definitely a new experience to see the other side of the counter.

What I wish was different

I wish my salary was a little higher. We had such a low wage because they expected servers to make tips, but the shift I worked sometimes would have no customers. Therefore, we weren't making tips either.

Advice

My piece of advice would be to not slack off. Working in the food industry it can be very fast paced and it is important to satisfy the customer and keep the facility in clean conditions.
