This was a super flexible internship opportunity. You get to work with teens on a regular basis and share in their journey in discovering their strengths. I enjoyed working with the students, planning activities for Tuesday night CONNECT meetings, and interviewing older adults for the Stories Project.
What I wish was different
I wish I was given a little more structure/direction in planning some things like summer camp activities, but it was nice to have lots of freedom as well!
Advice
If you're up for a summer working with teenagers, having something different planned for everyday, stepping out of your comfort zone, and meeting people from all walks of life, this internship is for you!
