Lots of hands-on experience and collaboration with people that had different backgrounds than I did. Small size company that allowed me to be involved in a lot of the process.
What I wish was different
I enjoyed all aspects of the job, but sometimes wish there was more of a social element on the day to day.
Advice
Ask more questions, pop into people's offices more when they are free to discuss their needs on the project with you. That way, you can come to the best solutions possible in the quickest time and fully understand their needs on a project. This allowed me to learn a lot more than I expected to by seeing things from different perspective and taking my time to come up with a customer based solution.
