What I liked

During my business intelligence internship at Polen Capital, I had a great experience. The team was very welcoming, and I felt like I was able to contribute meaningfully to the projects I worked on. I appreciated the opportunities I had to learn about various tools and technologies used in the field, and the mentorship provided by my supervisor was invaluable. Overall, I feel like I gained a lot of valuable experience and knowledge during my time at Polen Capital.

Client Service Intern

What I liked

Polen Capital does a great job with their internship program. A big part of the internship program is a capstone project each intern works on throughout the summer and presents it to the firm at the end of the internship. This project allows each intern to work hands-on with their team and create tangible results. Not only does this project aid in learning and development within the team but it allows them to present the project to the whole firm which is a learning experience in itself. Polen Capital ensures each intern is given resources to learn about the firm and to be successful in their day to day. The company fosters an environment that empowers the interns to reach out to full-time employees of all positions to have 30-minute conversations to learn about their role, experience, and anything else they might want to know. Polen Capital has a fantastic culture that treats their interns and employees very well making it a healthy and happy environment to work in. One of many perks is the free lunches they provide every day! Overall, my internship experience was very positive and ultimately ended with a job offer that I happily accepted.

A piece of advice I would share about this experience is to not be afraid to ask questions and reach out to full-time employees. Every employee at the company wants to help the interns learn and grow.
