I love going to work for a place that really embodies a fan first mentality. I get to go into my office (which just so happens to be the trailblazers home) and work on marketing to the portland metropolotin area as well as the colleges that are within 75 miles of the blazers. as a team, we would get to go out into the community and hold events for fans and students with the goal to spread awareness about the Trailblazers. It was a lot of fun but not just because I get to work for a professional sports team, but also because I got to solve real-life problems and actually make an impact on the marketing team.
What I wish was different
Definitely keep an open mind. There are many times that you might think you have hit a home run with your idea, but if you are open to suggestions you can take your work from good to great. Also being a team player is essential to your success in the business place, but I would also say being able to stand up for an idea that you think is good and voice your opinion on the team is going to help you stand out and ultimately succeed.
