Digital Marketing Intern

May - August 2020 • American Fork, UT

What I liked

It was nice that I had the opportunity to market within a company I knew nothing about. This gave me the challenge of finding the best ways to approach their marketing strategy over social media and online. They were able to let me work remotely and I worked with people worldwide on marketing projects, which in my opinion was very cool.

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish had been different was the fact that we had several different projects going on and many times the approval process took long enough to where we weren't able to complete every several projects efficiently. This is partly because our immediate team size was small and there were a lot of other company projects going on that had priority for the supervisor's attention. However, as a team and company, we were able to accomplish a lot of projects in general, even with these setbacks.

Take full advantage of your position by being proactive. Always be humble and accept uplifting advice and critiques from your supervisors. They have good experience and advice to share. Overall, do your best and you'll come out of the internship with some great career experience!
