I loved that I was doing something meaningful. Working for a small nonprofit can be really rewarding, especially since you get a chance to make your voice heard in meetings. I felt like my coworkers were all very open to teaching and also ready to listen to my ideas.
What I wish was different
I did not like working in a cubicle from 9 to 5 every day. I think this experience taught me to seek more dynamic and collaborative work environments in the future.
Advice
Make sure you understand the style of the office you are working at before you pick your internship. You'll be spending 3 months there every single day, so make sure you're going to have a good time.
