What I liked

I loved the flexibility that comes with this job. I was able to work with the parents to find a schedule that worked for all three of us. I worked with a pair of twins (13 years old) so that also allowed for more flexibility. I enjoyed the personal nature of the job as well.

What I wish was different

I wished at times that I could have more hours. Since your schedule is based on the needs of the family, your weekly hours can vary widely.

Advice

Find a family that works best for you. When you are at your interview, do not forget that you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you. You will be an integral part of their household, so you need to be compatible with the parents and children.
