Proctors is proud to be the premier theatre destination for the Capital Region and is committed to its mission “Through arts and community leadership be a catalyst for excellence in education, sustainable economic development and rich civic engagement to enhance the quality of life in the greater capital region.” Proctors also has a partnership with Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany and internships may crossover in scope. Internships are designed for undergraduate or graduate students to have an in-depth experience of working in a not-for-profit theatre company. Training can be supplemented with discussions and workshops with directors, designers and senior staff who provide insight into the overall management of the company. Interns’ relationships with their supervisor ensure that they are not only gaining valuable skills but also receiving support and feedback. Internships are part-time Monday-Friday with occasional nights and weekends (12-20 hours per week). They take place year-round in the Spring, Summer or Fall semesters. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
