The great thing about this job was the freedom to work on whatever project you wanted to work on. I specifically worked with ejector pins and developing vital samples of correct and incorrect pin placement on certain features. The environment was super friendly and everyone was very helpful. The company is growing because of the investment from its own employees.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have talked more to upper management and learn more about the history of the company.
Advice
Do not be afraid to apply yourself and ask questions. The worst part about withholding a question is that you may never know the answer.

What I liked
I loved the culture of Protolabs. It is a very open and fun environment. The employees are always willing to help out. I really connected with my team which made my summer that much more enjoyable. I also enjoyed the fact that I was working on real work collaboratively with the rest of my full-time team.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have lived closer to Protolabs because the drive was longer than I would have liked in the mornings and afternoons.
Advice
Ask lots of questions and take notes of everything because there is so much to know and learn.
