“I felt like the work I did had a direct impact on the company. I was given projects and opportunities to work directly with engineers and production staff to implement changes on the production floor. I was given a lot of freedom to pursue projects I was assigned and find solutions on my own, while being guided and receiving feedback. The hours were flexible and worked around my classes during the school year, and the pay was great. During the COVID pandemic, I was furloughed for several weeks but wasn't laid off. I was able to resume my normal role and duties after only a few weeks. ”

“The real-life work experience. From the first day I was assigned a project and thrown onto the production floor to observe, ask questions, and gain insight. As a student who had only worked in a research lab, it was intimidating, but really boosted my confidence. I was pulled into projects that would come up in the week. I was assigned projects that were 100% my responsibility. There was a lot of independence, but also an amazing goal system to ensure I had things to do and was staying on track. My growth as an engineer has increase ten-fold through this internship.”
