About Racine Zoo

The Racine Zoo is an AZA-accredited institution located along the shores of Lake Michigan. Currently, the Racine Zoo cares for over 400 individual animals from Wisconsin and around the world. The Racine Zoo is one of only 232 zoos accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Each year, more than 140,000 guests visit the Racine Zoo’s 32-acre park on the shores of Lake Michigan. The Racine Zoo maintains a staff of around 30 full-time employees including animal care specialists, administration, operations staff, conservation education, and facility staff.
