What I liked

I love this company. They do not have any locations here in Rohnert park and if they did I would absolutely work for them here as well. I love this job. Customer service is something I find incredibly fun and just overall makes me very happy. I've worked multiple positions over my 3 years with Ralphs but my favorite by far is being a florist. It makes me incredibly happy to make floral arrangements and attend to customers' needs.

What I wish was different

I wouldn't change a thing except for them pulling me to other departments that I no longer belong to when those areas got busy.

Advice

I would say take this job. It is fast-paced, fun and the people at this location are so friendly and all people I love so much.

What I liked

The environment was very demanding, disciplined, fast paced and active. My role in particular was diverse & we never did the exact same thing for all 8 hours.

What I wish was different

Better manager organization of human resources.

Advice

No matter what, never give up! It may be a minimum wage job that is taxing on the body and the mind, but it will teach you how the world works & give you a great attitude. Do not give up, or you wont learn.

I like the friendliness that the other employees offered. Everyone working was genuinely pleasant to be around and work with. They treated me with respect at all times!

I wish I would have started sooner because it was a great experience to work there with the people of Ralph’s.

Advice

I would share that there was never a day that I did not look forward to going into work. There was always something different to do and there was a new learning opportunity as well. Nothing was ever repetitive.

Having a flexible schedule that allowed me to enjoy doing summer activities while also being given enough hours to work and save up for school.

What I wish was different

I wish I had taken the time to do more research on my degree and the possible careers it can provide me with. As an accounting major, I would have liked to research which are the most reputable accounting companies that can provide me with professional growth, as well as help me with completing the appropriate requirements to become a CPA.

Advice

Whatever activities you decide to do about the summer, make sure it's productive. It can be productive in a matter of ways such as professional, academic, or personal. Take time to get ahead on some classes, work to save for personal expenses during school, travel and clear your head.
