The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority (RITBA) oversees the operation and maintenance of the State of Rhode Island’s four largest bridges: The Newport Pell Bridge, the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge, the Sakonnet River Bridge and the Mount Hope Bridge. In addition, RITBA operates and maintains the Route 138 highway connector that runs through Jamestown. The Authority also operates the RI E-ZPass system.
