I enjoyed working with the kids and helping them understand how the body works. My favorite part of my internship was taking part in the annual Body Trek summer camps! It was great seeing the middle schoolers so invested in dissecting and taking the initiative to actually learn during their summer vacation.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more time to work with other individuals throughout the office space. A majority of the Health Educators had classes to teach so it wasn't ideal learning everyone on the team.
Advice
This position requires you to step out of your comfort zone. My advice would be take every piece of information health educators give you and confidently teach the kids. It's okay to say that you don't know the answer on occasion. Saying that you don't know shows that you have area for improvement and individuals are always looking to improve themselves.
