What I liked

I loved working with kids. I knew many of the kids because I work at Roycemore during the year. I also enjoyed working with the other counselors- we became pretty good friends. I also enjoyed playing games and doing art projects and going on field trips.

What I wish was different

I wish communication at work had been a bit more direct and there had a bit more training at the start.

Advice

It is important to live in the moment and enjoy a nice job with good pay and not always be so concerned with getting an internship that is going to get you a high paying job in the future. Also it is important to have thick skin at times and not worry too much about remarks a coworker or supervisor might say. Listen and try to improve but do not take it as a personal attack and if you know you are doing a good job, do not let other people get under your skin.
