I can’t really think of any specifics that I would want to be different.

I’d advise you to be completely open with the manager. She’s an extremely understanding person and will work with you around pretty much anything.

What I liked

I loved how much they valued their interns, we were on 3 different projects. One was a personal project, one was a small team project and the last was an intern class project. They truly valued us as members of the organization and wanted us to make a direct impact.

What I wish was different

I honestly loved the overall experience, I truly do not think I would have changed anything about my internship experience

Advice

Really grasp this opportunity, do not use your internship as just an opportunity to gain a source of revenue, but to really understand yourself and what you want to do post graduation. I was very fortunate to really find myself after this internship, and I found out more about myself than I could have imagined.

Getting to make customers' day by assisting them in finding outfits or fragrances.

The unofficial sales quota expectations from corporate took the fun out of the job.

Advice

Understand that as much as you want to prioritize the customers' happiness, you also need to view them as potential money. This means not adding on a coupon to be nice, or something similar. Reaching the sales goal is more important than one small act of kindness.
