Intern

June - August 2019 • New Brunswick, NJ

What I liked

I loved being an intern and working in the Business Office at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Every day I was there I learned something new and got to be very hands-on in important projects for the hospital. I also got to partake in daily and monthly meetings with leaders in different departments in the hospital. I got to learn about multiple departments in the hospitals and complete different assignments related to each department. They truly helped me learn and guided me toward my future career. Being an intern was truly the best experience.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have been able to be at the hospital more days per week because there was probably so much more I could have learned.

Advice

I would advise anyone that is interested in healthcare to get an internship in a hospital because you get to see how everything you learn in school is used in real-life situations and you learn so much. You also learn that networking is very important for future jobs.
