What I liked
The schedule was flexible which made it manageable to be employed while also go to summer classes, take vacations, etc.
The people I worked with and for were all really friendly and supportive
The tasks varied throughout the summer so it was never boring
What I wish was different
There are times of the summer that are difficult to manage, so there was some unexpected stress that was hard to anticipate. That is not the fault of the University but just the way the summer goes.
Advice
Ask questions if you aren't sure! The SJU staff are friendly and patient and always willing to help, and it is the best way to improve in this job.

What I liked
I assisting in upgrading and installing the university's new computers in the library. It is a good job that gives you a feel for how a IT department operates. It is especially useful because Information Technology is my major, so it is fitting that I have a job like this.
What I wish was different
I wish there was some room for advancement. Most of the work you do on the first is what you will be doing on your last day. Student workers are sort of just that--they are there to relieve the professional staff of everyday, simple tasks, so they can focus on more complicated projects.
Advice
It is fun working with other students. You get an opportunity to make new friends and even learn more about how Saint Joe's operates as a school.
