CIB IT Intern

June - August 2023 • New York City, NY

What I liked

My internship at Santander CIB was an incredibly enjoyable and enriching experience. Throughout my time there, I had the opportunity to be part of the Pre/Post Equity Software Development Team, where I was actively involved in developing web modules and batch processes using Microsoft technologies like ASP.NET, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and C#. This hands-on experience allowed me to sharpen my technical skills and gain valuable insights into real-world software development projects. Moreover, my internship exposed me to the complexities of the Capital Markets Businesses (EQ/FI) and provided a deep understanding of the Agile Method. I particularly appreciated the organization's emphasis on risk and compliance awareness. Understanding the significance of adhering to regulatory standards and ensuring secure practices added a sense of responsibility to my work and instilled in me a greater appreciation for ethical business practices. Furthermore, Santander CIB's focus on networking and personal growth events allowed me to engage with professionals from diverse backgrounds. These interactions not only expanded my professional network but also broadened my horizons, exposing me to different perspectives and potential career paths within the industry. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a reputable organization and for the significant personal and professional growth that I experienced during my internship..
